With the help of experts from rehabs and detox centres, talking on subjects such as intervention, family support and treatment options. This is an excellent opportunity for parents and family members to attend to not only gain a greater understanding of the addiction, but help to formulate ideas to help the addicted.
Key community leaders will be invited to attend the Community Forums. These include, school principals, teachers, counsellors, chaplains, community agency workers, Youth Justice, Youth leaders, representatives from local government, local volunteers, existing support groups, Narcotics Anonymous, health workers etc.
There will also be an opportunity for those interested to partake in extra training to establish, facilitate and run support groups within the local community.
